Observed changes

869 currently available apartments had an observed asking-rent reduction in the window beginning 2026-10-10. This counts apartments, not every price-change event, and excludes apartments no longer available.

The inventory comparison baseline is 2026-10-10. 131 buildings have comparable coverage at both endpoints.

Changes can occur between successful checks and remain unobserved. Missing data is not evidence that prices stayed the same.

Explore the source buildings

Use the area directory to compare locations, or the building directory to inspect individual apartments and their official source links. Start with Long Island City, East Village, Hell’s Kitchen, Hoboken, or 200W60.

How to interpret and cite this report

Prices describe advertised monthly asking rents, not signed leases. Fees and concessions can differ by source. The inventory can change when buildings enter coverage or apartments appear or disappear. Neither a sample median change nor a lower inventory count establishes a market-wide trend.
